Graham Chronofighter Oversize GMT 2OVGR.B16A.K10B Replica Watch
Graham Chronofighter Oversized GMT Watch
If you've been following my weekend watch reviews, you'll notice that I tend to prefer larger watches. But even this monster - the Graham Replica watches Oversize GMT - is too big for me.
Graham is a British haute horlogerie manufacturer. Named after famed watchmaker George Graham, the company is primarily made in Switzerland and uses a combination of bespoke movements and some modified ETA parts. Chronofighter is a little different, and more fun.
What are you looking at here? First, this is one of Graham's flagship watches. It contains the automatic movement G1733, Graham's first in-house movement, with a large date and large GMT hand at 12 o'clock. It also has a chronograph with a unique pusher/crown arrangement for stopping and starting measurements, and a plunger-like pusher.
That big trigger stops and starts the chronograph, and it also protects the crown. The case is 47mm in diameter and the high quality replica watches is thick with a signed solid caseback. It is ostensibly waterproof to 100 meters.
Worn on the wrist, especially with the leather strap, this watch is surprisingly light. However, the flip-flop on the side is definitely an acquired taste, and if you're on the slightly slimmer side, it tends to dig deep into the flesh. While I wouldn't consider myself slim, I felt it was a little too big.
But what fun to wear. Graham is a polarized watch company that got into the big review replica watches trend with a size 14. The piece is bold and striking, while the British ancestry and the watch's fundamental "instrumentality" make it an interesting find.
Of all the big watches I've reviewed, this one is the hardest to recommend outright. I'm more inclined to encourage people to visit the dealer and try the thing on in person to see if it fits, I fear it's big for the sake of it - concept watchmakers of the past few decades have all been selling each other.
Grahams have a unique new vision, and while they're attacked by some purists as gimmicky, I'd say they're bold. The Chronofighter is a big watch for those who like big watches, and, for the money, I haven't seen anything beat it in terms of visibility, practicality, and sheer cheekiness.https://www.reviewluxurystore.com
