For those unfamiliar with the Bremont brand, co-founders Nick and Giles English started making mechanical watches in Henley-on-Thames in 2002, just a year after Concorde officially said goodbye to flights in 2003.

What's the history behind the Concorde?
The iconic Concorde stands out in civil air transport with its distinctive silhouette and the clear roar of 4 Rolls-Royce Olympus engines, making her instantly recognisable as it passes overhead.

Flying at supersonic speeds meant Concorde was subjected to extreme thermodynamic stress, causing the fuselage to heat up and stretch to 11 inches. Due to this huge expansion, special highly reflective paints were developed and were also taken into account when laying the cabin carpet.

Concorde's influence can be found in all three variants of the model, and many of the watch's features pay homage to the design elements and visionary aspects of this pioneering aircraft.
First, the sunburst-shaped white metal dial represents a highly reflective paint specially developed for the innovative aircraft. Complemented by the seconds subdial, at 6 o’clock, a subtle pattern of Concorde’s iconic silhouette can be found. Finally, the blue steel hands and blue Connolly leather strap on supersonic stainless steel, similar to the British Airways blue on Concorde's famous livery.
In a special collaboration with British Airways, Bremont received gifted aluminium from a Concorde to incorporate into the unique "Bremont Supersonic" timepiece. The metal was taken from the third Concorde to join the British Airways fleet, the G-BOAB Concorde, affectionately known as the Alpha Bravo.
This remarkable aircraft was registered in 1974, and by 1984 she had completed the passenger aircraft distance record, a remarkable 4,565 miles from Washington to Nice for its time.
