Its irregularly-cut diamonds (inspired by the asymmetrical design of stealth aircraft) break up the reflection and refraction of light, distinguishing it from the more familiar brilliant-set or baguette-set pieces. The trend of using a range of gem-set watches to echo the colors of the rainbow is nothing new by any means, but for Ulysse Nardin, these watches are a natural continuation of the aesthetics they have built using silicon components.

Components such as the anchor and escape wheel have an iridescent blue or violet effect due to the oxidation of the silicon components, making them suitable for watchmaking (Ulysse Nardin was an industry pioneer in this process).
