Revenge With The Dark Knight's Bell & Ross x Uncrate BR 03-92

The Dark Knight is ditching utility belts for utility watches. Uncrate partnered with fictional comics company Wayne Enterprises and luxury watch brand Bell & Ross to create a unique timepiece worthy of Batman himself. The new limited edition BR 03-92 watch completely changes the iconic 42mm square case design, removing the mask that previously concealed the inner workings.

The new collaboration aims to perfectly mirror both sides of the Batman/Bruce Wayne story arc, with tantalizing prospects. The original Bell & Ross BR 03-92 was inspired by aviation instruments and had a distinctly military avant-garde aesthetic. According to Uncrate, the tactical foundation for creating the ideal look and feel for the Wayne Enterprises x Uncrate collection, albeit with some major upgrades.

For the new collaboration, Bell & Ross took the frame of one of its most stylish tactical luxury replica watches and skeletonized the dial to reveal the stunning Calibre BR-CAL.321 movement below. From there, the watchmakers added satin and polished steel finishes, complete with a copper-brown inner bezel.

Importantly, just like the tortured comic book character himself, the Wayne Industries x Uncrate BR 03-92 can be dressed up or down by simply swapping out the padded leather strap for the included military nylon Velcro strap . In fact, the 42mm satin-polished stainless steel case itself runs parallel to the classic DC character, contrasting with the copper-brown brushed flange.

Inside, however, the new Bell & Ross Limited Edition is all business. Like Robert Pattinson's new Batmobile, the inner workings of this watch have been incredibly enhanced. The watch is powered by the BR-CAL.321 mechanical automatic movement, visible through the skeleton dial. For its latest offering, Bell & Ross relied on navigation to build its BR 03-92 Radiocompass watch.

Inspired by radio navigation tools, the new watch features a radio compass-style display that reinterprets functions such as hands. The dial includes a matte black dial with orange, electric yellow and lime green hands. In addition, the sapphire crystal dial features white indexes.
