Such stylish watches are usually at the top of the price and quality ladder. So where does Versace fit in?

Versace high quality men watches have long been produced by Timex and designed by Timex's design team in Milan, Italy, headed by Giorgio Galli. Timex is an American company based in Connecticut, but their Italian design team is responsible for all of the Versace, Salvatore Ferragamo, and other fashion-licensed watches the company makes. This is a good thing if you're interested in actually buying a good watch.

As I discussed in my review of the women's Versace Medusa Stud Icon, Timex's design team is responsible for the daunting task of designing and producing watches for demanding partners like Versace. This involved Timex getting to know the Versace brand and then continually creating watch collections that lived in harmony with the brand. At the same time, the watch needs to have an independent advantage as a timekeeping instrument. This means that a Versace watch must immediately fulfill the requirements of a functional timepiece and must exist in the Versace universe. The Timex team in Milan are actually pretty good at this.

Above the dial is a piece of sapphire crystal glass coated with an anti-reflection film, and the case is waterproof to a depth of 50 meters. The non-screw-down crown features a delicate Medusa logo motif that echoes the dial's 12 o'clock position. What I found interesting and kind of cool is that each location has a slightly different Medusa logo.

The case features intricate design elements, including the panels and bracelet structure. In fact, I think the bracelet is very well done, with the polished links' sloped edges and the asymmetrical laser engraving of a specific pattern (I believe Versace calls it a "Greca" pattern) that runs along its length. The same Greca pattern appears on the same plane on the dial, making it appear as if it flows through the entire replica luxury Watches.

The hands and hour markers on the dial of this watch are perfectly proportioned, and even though the dial has a somewhat "light" color palette, it's still legible since it's just a mix of silver finishes and shades. You do need a certain penchant for the Versace brand to appreciate the personality of the dial, but if you do then you never need to feel like you're sacrificing form over function, as the overall appeal of this dial is also quite classy.

A minor annoyance for some watch enthusiasts is that the case apparently contains a movement that is smaller than its overall diameter. This doesn't bother me, but some collectors don't like to see cases that are clearly twice the size of the movement, or the placement of the date window near the center of the dial (the latter being a clear sign of the former). Versace may sell more women's watches than men's watches (at least in the West), but I think its large and established watch collection is worth a look for those who want something classic but stylish without being boring.
