MB&F Introduces New Sequential Flywheel Chronograph, Now Available in Sporty "EVO" Model
A complete evolution of MB&F's most sporty complications and most sporty case.
In 2022, MB&F launched the LM Sequential EVO watch, a milestone for the brand. It wasn't just MB&F's first chronograph; it was a uniquely crafted chronograph, one that only MB&F could create. Its design was essentially a split-seconds chronograph, but the two counters could operate independently or simultaneously, even starting one and immediately stopping the other. Combined with the brand's signature flying balance wheel and three-dimensional watchmaking craftsmanship, it's no surprise that the watch was an instant success, winning the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG). However, this wasn't the most perfect version of the luxury fake watches.
Later, Stephen McDonald, the inventor of the movement, realized he could actually transform it into a flyback movement, achieving instantaneous reset of the chronograph function, leading to the more classic LM Sequential Flyback watch. While MB&F watches aren't dress watches, their water resistance isn't as high as the EVO series, and they feature a white lacquered dial (and a different case shape). Now, these two concepts have been perfectly merged, resulting in the first LM Sequential Flyback EVO watch.
This watch has the same dimensions as the non-EVO version (44mm x 18.2mm), but features a Grade 5 titanium case with more sporty details, a white rubber strap, a folding clasp, and is water-resistant to 80 meters with built-in shock absorbers. The full specifications are below, but two subtle aesthetic adjustments are worth noting. First, the dial is a stunning ocean blue, contrasting sharply with the black subdials. Second, the subdial at 6 o'clock is tilted upwards, allowing for clear time reading even when the wearer's arm is at a more natural angle.Richard Mille RM 67 replica watches
If I had unlimited funds, I would have already purchased an MB&F LM Sequential watch and paired it with an LM Perpetual watch. These two watches are MB&F's coolest models to date, but the new LM Sequential Flyback EVO is what this watch should truly be. Dress chronographs seem a bit silly to me, so releasing a more sporty version like this makes perfect sense. Max Büsser told me that since this movement was originally introduced in the EVO series, it was best to release the flyback function in a non-EVO series format. This avoids confusion and gives consumers more choices. It also prevents early adopters from feeling like they bought a "lower-end" version (that's my understanding). Now, this watch has finally reached its full potential. It combines all the functions and is comfortable and practical to wear.
This is also the first time I've truly fallen in love with the EVO's black dial. One thing I previously disliked about these black bezels and time displays was that they sometimes looked visually too jarring. Now, paired with the beautiful light sea-blue dial, the contrast is higher, the black display is softer, and the overall effect is simply perfect. Anyone want to buy one (or a quarter of one) with me?
